Virgo New Moon Post Eclipse Hangover & Is Your Feminist Flavor Dolly or Steinem?

During the interim between the end of the eclipse and the beginning of this new moon we lost two femenist Icons. This also happened just as Venus is getting ready to retrograde. These two women will be remembered by Leftists in particular, very differently than you might think. More on that below.
For now let’s get into how this eclipse may affect you in particular.
This post eclipse season New Moon in Virgo may be a bit triggering for us. Do you feel like other people are talking about you behind your back?

Keep it moving
You also might feel like your bestie or significant other is pushing all your buttons or like you need to get out of a situation you feel trapped in. Of course, if the threat is real and your safety or the safety of someone around you is in danger, by all means, get out of there. However, if the issue seems to be spiraling mostly in your head, take this week to observe it objectively and not make any definitive decisions, instead of blaming yourself or popping off at a friend.
The reason emotions may be high and explosive energy may be afoot is because we have Venus and Chiron opposing one another and both squaring Pluto.
Oppositions imply conflict and projection. In this case it comes up between Venus in Scorpio opposing Chiron in Taurus.
Venus in Scorpio can give us sexy emo goth energy on a good day, or deep struggles with the power dynamics of a relationship on a bad one. The fact that it is opposing the astroid Chiron, which can kick up our childhood wounding, does not have me super excited to say the least.
If this wasn’t enough, all of this built up conflict then discharges in an explosive way through Pluto in Aquarius.
From a global perspective
the likelihood of leaders, countries, and financial markets acting erratic or explosive, crashing, or rupturing technological communications is high on or around this date. The energy is aggressive and nuclear.
We are also not helped by the ruling planet of the new moon, Mercury, opposing a retrograde Neptune in Aries on Saturday the 12th. Look out for delusions of grandeur, religiosity and cult-like communication styles going head to head with self-victimization and passive aggressiveness.
How appropriate that now that Congress has voted to completely embed Israel’s army within the Pentagon, the Jerusalem Post has reported that they support conscription of indebted US citizens into the Israeli “Defense” forces to fight a ground war in Iran to forgive their debts 🤯. This is so insane. Please stop scrolling for one f-ing minute and tap in with the fact that this country has been bought and sold.
So what can we look forward to you say?
Well, first off, Virgo new moons and earth new moons in general, are great times for planting seeds and tilling new ideas. Also, even though the ruling planet, Mercury is opposing Neptune on Saturday, before that, it trines Pluto. So it will be trining the same place that just sparked our existential dread in the relationship/resource/financial space. The hope is that we will have learned from whatever comes up and be able to communicate a little better than we would be able to if every transit was a challenging one. Report back please.
In between the ending of eclipse season and this first new moon, Gloria Steinem and Dolly Parton both died.
Both were feminist icons, but one of them wore the title as more of badge and a way to do the bidding of the West while advancing the interests of particularly white women. Dolly, on the other hand, didn’t try to push an agenda with her work. She used her philanthropy to give away a large portion of her money so that she could continue to have a perspective closer to the people and less to elite interests. She didn’t ask to be a feminist or a trans rights or LGBTQ activist or a champion for the working poor of all backgrounds, she just told their stories and gave everyone help when they asked for it. No strings attached.
Awhile back I was in the park and a white woman told me that as a black woman I should be grateful to white women because if it wasn’t for them we would have no rights. That is the energy I get from Steinem and I’ll leave it at that.

We need our courage to be contagious and reclaim the artists place as the marketing arm of liberatory struggle. In keeping with the work of artists like Harry Belafonte and Miram Makeba, we call on other artists to dedicate their works to resisting repression and oppression by all authoritarian entities public or private, State or corporate. Let your voice be heard in a chorus for a more equitable future for all living beings.
