This lunar eclipse in Pisces is finishing up a cycle of 2 years of eclipses happening in the sign of Pisces. What part of your birth chart is Pisces in? The week before this eclipse and right after the solar eclipse in the sign of Leo, the planet Venus opposed the planet Saturn on the 20th, and there has been a buildup of themes around suppression and oppression of marginalized peoples, represented by the planet Venus, in our media space. Some of them getting more attention then they should be and others, not enough, even though they should be.

There is a lot happening with the planet Venus as it readies itself to go retrograde on October 4th so keep an eye on the rights and or treatment of women and other historically marginalized communities.
The story that is getting a lot of attention currently, is the one of Natalie Harp who is the mentally unwell current and closest advisor to Donald Trump. According to her brother, she has written to other presidents before, and this was the first one who had responded. It is a pattern and he is worried about her.
The recent leak of a letter she wrote to Trump repeatedly apologizing for upsetting him and basically saying she accepts whatever punishment he sees fit, as well as talking about how a recent trip they had taken together was a “coming of age experience” for her, is troubling on many accounts. Seeing this young woman walk willingly into oppression and subjugation by the biggest narcisist we have seen on a world stage is not my favorite expression of this transit, but here we are.
We also have the country once again turning a blind eye to the lives lost of black people, either through the politics of neglect, like in Gary Indiana, that has been without power for over a week and with no FEMA in sight, or the uptick in the lynchings of black people that have been called suicides, so that the cases can be quickly shut. Collin Kaepernick, previously of the SF 49ers, should not have to be the one hiring a private investigator to look into these matters. What in the actual F is going on!?
We live in a country that now believes, if you don’t talk about something it ceases to exist. So we no longer believe in racism, sexism, disease or climate change. As we ignore all these things food borne diseases wreak havoc in the Republic of Diarrhea, black people in the South are apparently lynching themselves, and going without any help in disasters yet again, and storms and wildfires rip the world apart.
Now before you go rock back and forth in the corner of your room in the fetal position, there have been some encouraging expressions of these transits and lunations. We have seen wins in Democratic primary races like Angie Nixon and Josh Johnson, along with others winning their races against AIPAC, AI, and the ISrael lobby candidates. In fact, Angie Nixon, a long time community activist and legislator won her primary in Jacksonville Florida having been outspent 16 to 1 and having paid for zero TV adds against Josh Vindman! Don’t give up ya’ll. Electoral politics is the tip of the iceberg but it can tell us in which way the wind is blowing at the very least.
As Mercury moves into the sign of Virgo, promptly trines Chiron and then meets up with the Sun on the eclipse, we may either: find deep repair in tapping in and communicating our childhood wounds through writing and service to others, or become self identified with our wounding; and alienate others with our communication; you choose. It also really depends on how it connects with your individual star-DNA, aka your birth chart. Astrology giveth and astrology taketh away.

A friend of mine said the only thing that gives them solace in these times is that climate change is the planet’s immune response to humans. I guess that’s all we got these days. I’d rather hold on to that, then keep trying to help push us quicker towards annihilation to bring about some fictitious kingdom of goD on earth like all the Fundamentalist CUFI supporting Christian Nationalists and Zionists seem to believe.
The day after the Mercury Cazimi, The Sun squares Uranus. This could mean that the clarity you got the day before through letting something go in the eclipse, may all of a sudden seem like it might have been the wrong idea. Look out for this particularly in online spaces.
So as you should know if you’ve been on this planet for any length of time, the stars, just like human life experience, are a mixed bag. Try to quiet your mind and tap into your own agency, choice, and free will. The beauty of astrology is its subjectivity, it is nuanced and ancient, it can help us have empathy for ourselves and others, and we need that more now than ever wouldn’t you say?
